Get Involved in Bath Fringe

More Ways to be a Star!

Bath Fringe is run mostly by volunteers. From the committee that directs its core activities to the people who put up posters, distribute programmes, do the door or steward at events, and programme those events in detail in the first place, the festival would not happen without those who see a need for something, step into the gap, and do it. It’s a very Fringe attitude. The Fringe has two part-time workers for most of the year and other paid help when things get really busy, but even those started by volunteering their services, and the specialist professionals we do use when we have to be certain that the job is done are often working for way below the commercial rate. All of which is to say that we value and need volunteer help, and we wouldn’t be where we are or how we are today without it.

If you’d like to help with Fringe 2015 or even 2016, EMail us at the office or use the contact form here (or you can telephone if you like). We’ll get in contact about open meetings and other events you may be interested in. We’re unlikely to have any paid work available, sorry, though we do of course reimburse out-of-pocket expenses. Don’t forget to tell us what you’re interested in doing and what special skills you have to share. We’re currently especially interested in people with First Aid qualifications, who are appropriately CRB checked, or who have marketing or fundraising experience, but those are just the things we know about: we’re also interested in what YOU have to offer, maybe we didn’t know we needed you yet…

Fringe volunteers are all jolly wonderful, happy, intelligent and deeply attractive people – as you will discover if you buy one a drink. Or if you join them.
