    Bath’s Last Legal Slaveowners

    Sweet Waters: walking, sensing legacies of slave-ownership.

    A walk through the City centre stopping outside the addresses from which slave-owners claimed compensation for releasing the people they owned.
    The walk ends at Beckfords Tower.
    Approx 3 miles.
    One steep uphill section, part of which will be across open fields.
    Return by bus from Lansdown Park and Ride or on foot by another route.

    Meet location on registration.
    Start: 11.00
    Bring water and snacks, we'll have a picnic if the weather is good.

    Walkers are invited to participate by taking photographs, drawing/sketching and contributing to social media. Do bring notebooks and mobiles! Please come prepared for walking on uneven ground and for whatever the weather brings us..waterproofs or suncream! In registering for the walk you are responsible for assessing yourself fit for the distance and the terrain.
