    Sweet Waters: a cycle of walks along the River Avon sensing legacies of slavery and slaveownership

    different starting points

    The walks continue after the Fringe is over as part of the Festival of Nature. Sweet Waters culminates in an epic 25 mile walk from Avonmouth to Bath on Wednesday 21 June, Midsummers day. Sunrise to sunset. Bearing witness.

    Extra info: From Avonmouth to Bath along the river. Approx 26 miles. Some steep sections. Meet on Avonmouth bridge at 4.30 for midsummer sunrise Finish on Bathwick fields, picnic, closing conversation and sunset if the weather obliges.

    Walkers are invited to participate by taking photographs, drawing/sketching and contributing to social media. Do bring notebooks and mobiles! Please come prepared for walking on uneven ground and for whatever the weather brings us..waterproofs or suncream! In registering for the walk you are responsible for assessing yourself fit for the distance and the terrain.
